So my colleague and I went to this comedy event several weeks ago that features the works of all the writers who are on strike. It's like these writers have nothing to do while on strike so they write stuff for this show. Cheap to get in for great entertainment. We saw some big names too. Next one is on Dec. 17. Go check it out. It's called "Strike Night". Show support for the writers!

I love James Brown! Would it make you happier if the obit said JB "positively influenced" so and so? Obits can only be so many words long so the easiest way to summarize a man's work in a nutshell is to say he influenced famous people. What do you want? A musical theory analysis of "Mother Popcorn" (one of my favorites too!)?

for the record, I am not fighting with you. I don't want to this to become an argument. But all i am saying is that if you all truly mean what gerrit quotes at the end, then attacking your readers isn't gonna get you that and saying your side won the fight is not gonna get you that either. if you want this blog to be an open forum where people can share stuff, fighting with your hecklers is not the way to go.
