USA! USA! USA!
Leave it to our country to cut out the middle man and go right for the ecological jugular. I weep for the future of our planet and others.

I wasn't a fan of Slaughterhouse Five, it was a touch redundant. And so it goes...

*Teensy disclaimer* I'm just catching up on the 2log now. Sorry for the delay.
I was so pleased with this issue of the New Yorker. Lane makes a valid point that the American people are relatively tolerant of most things. However, this is only to a certain point-as Baron-Cohen has shown us. However, I think it's important to remember that Americans are usually very open minded and kind about most things. I'm still mildly annoyed that we feel the need to have a different measurement system and consistently use boring, all green currency. But, Americans are still good and [usually] accepting people.

Side note: This bit of information was given to me by my god father who was writing a book about a Welsh township and continually referred to the tiny area as an idiot.

And "Twp" (pronounced twup) is the Welsh word for "idiot."
