The 'tother day, Mr. Hall and myself were sitting down to do some good old election coverage watching. The question, of course, was which of our friendly neighborhood news networks would we choose to follow?
Would it be FOX, that bastion of conservative pride, sure to cross check every democratic talking point and hold them to the highest sense of intellectual honesty?
or would it be MSNBC and affiliates, the emotional choice, so that we could experience the highs of a rousing speech, (and a measurement of the noise on the floor of the convention center) as if we were actually in Denver in Person!?
Well, here's a comparison of the two potential experiences.
Thank God we decided to watch the speech on PBS 13. Sure, Jim Lehrer is a little slow on the uptake at times coming back from commercial, but when he went to analysis, he kicked it over to... a panel of Historians. Why in gods name do we want to hear from political opperatives like Bill Kristol after that speech? Can't we judge it for ourselves?? For the record, I agree with Keith Olberman. But I CAME UP WITH IT ON MY OWN.
