I realized I'm supposed to be doing Movember to raise funds for prostate cancer. This is an excellent cause. Unfortunately, the official "movember.com" organization is corrupt, and takes most of the money for themselves. I REFUSE to donate a dime to them.
In honor of Movember, instead, I ask that everybody go to one of these more legitimate-looking charities and make a donation in my name. I don't know anything about the subject so, as usual, I turned to Wikipedia, the king of all websites, to get me some links:
Until I figure out whether or not I need to know your name and amount of donations for tax purposes, slide me a quiet email about it. Does anybody know the legalese behind this stuff... I'd rather I didn't have to ask for the amount if possible.
Through the fantastic efforts of the Mo Bros, Mo Sistas and the generosity of the Australian public Movember has raised over $8.7 million dollars in its first three years as a formal fundraiser. The funds raised by the Movember campaign are donated to selected beneficiary partners that focus on men's health, who fund leading research initiatives and provide support services to assist men dealing with health issues.
